DMO Grant Information

MACVB DMO Grant Guidelines & Rules

The grant application form shall be completed and returned to Trillium Financial Group by Friday, March 1, 2024.

The total grant amount, less administration fees of $100,000, shall be divided based on total 2022 FYE assessments and tax revenues to qualified convention and visitors bureaus that receive funds under any of the following public acts:


- 1974 PA 263, MLC 141.861 to 141.867


- Convention and tourism marketing act, 1980 PA 383, MCL 141.881 to 141.889


- Community convention or tourism marketing act, 1980 PA 395, MLC 141.871 to 141.880


- State convention facility development act, 1985 PA 106, MCL 207.621 to 207.640


- Regional tourism marketing act, 1989 PA 244, MCL 141.891 to 141.900


- Regional convention and tourism promotion act, 2010 PA 254, MLC 141.1431 to
141.1437


- Convention and tourism promotion act, 2007 PA 25, MCL 141.1321 to 141.1328

If a DMO operates under PA 59 of 1984, audited financials for 2020 through 2022 must be on file with the State of Michigan and reported on the MEDC website as required by State of Michigan law.


The final calculations of the grant disbursement were provided by Trillium Financial Group, Grandville, Michigan, and were ratified by the Michigan Association of Convention and Visitors Bureaus Board of Directors on July 9, 2024.

The grant funds were provided by the Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC).
